Aluminum Billet
An aluminum billet is a solid block of aluminum used as a raw material in various manufacturing processes. Typically produced through continuous casting, where molten aluminum is poured into a mold and allowed to solidify, these billets form the foundation for creating a wide array of aluminum products. Renowned for their lightweight nature, high strength-to-weight ratio, and excellent corrosion resistance, aluminum billets also offer superior thermal and electrical conductivity. Depending on the intended application, they can be made from pure aluminum or various aluminum alloys, such as 6061, 7075, and 2024, each tailored for specific mechanical and structural requirements.
